Mandore Fort

Mandore Fort is located at a distance of about 8kms from north of Jodhpur and is considered as one of the major tourist attraction. Mandore is the capital of Marwar region and in ancient era from 6th to 14th century it was called as Mandavyapur. The fort is considered as a finest example of architecture and has significantly hosted several forts and monuments of the bygone era. The walls of the fort are thick build and have several stages.

With the passing time the walls of the Mandore Fort has been ruined and collapsed nearly diminishing their existence. The massive boundary walls have been destroyed because of the invaders and later on due to natural calamities. Though the remaining of the temples can still been seen which somehow depicts its rich history. The exterior walls of the temple are beautified with the translucent botanical devises, animals, birds and planets.

Today tourist from all over the world comes to visit and experience the history of the Mandore Fort, Jodhpur in Rajasthan.
