The “Summer Festival” held in Mount Abu, Rajasthan. The three day long festival is organized every year during Buddha Purnima. Its aim is to present the tribal life and culture of Rajasthan in the most vivid and colorful manner. Mt Abu Summer Festival is organized by the Rajasthan Tourism, Municipal Board, Mt.Abu & District Administration. Since Mount Abu is the only hill station in Rajasthan, it is bestowed with picturesque beauty of nature with tranquil lakes, mountains, and pleasant climatic conditions that attracts not just the native of the country but also international tourists also. Summer Festival brings out the charm of the city.
The fair starts with ceremonial procession, singing followed by folk dance performances. Boat race on the shores of Nakki Lake is an added attraction of the festival along with exciting competitions held here such as tug of war, horse race, skating, panihari matka, CRPF band show and deepdan in the evenings are lighten with fine performances by famous Sufi singers who gather here for an exclusive musical extravaganza “Sham-e-Qwalli”. The end to the festival is marked with amazing display of fireworks at night that shines the entire city a breathtaking view that is worth a moment to be captured.
