Pali name get after the Paliwal Brahmins who once inhabited the place. Pali browsed a highly descanted civilization. The land was leased by the chief of Mandore and cultivated intensely by Paliwals, who superseded their former clerical profession. According to geologists, Pali has raised from the western sea and expanded over a large region of Rajasthan. These are believed that Maharshi Javali stayed here for meditation and the Pandavas have made this area for their rest during Mahabharata. Pali has played a vital role in India during the time of freedom struggle towards the British. Pali has an old temple of Somnath and Naulakha.
