Kheechan is a small village located 130 km away from the city Jodhpur and only 5 km from Phalodi. It is situated in Banswara district. Banswara was a residence of tribal Bhils. This city was ruled by Bhil ruler. Kheechan also ordained Khichan. Kheechan imparts its boundaries with Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh, Sagwara and Aspur of Dungarpur and Jhabua of Madhya Pradesh. Kheechan is famous for its bird sanctuary of Kurjan. Every year birds from Black sea, South West Europe, Ukraine, Mongolia, Kazakhstan and North and South Africa visit the bird sanctury.
