Churu is 52 kms away from the town Jhunjhunu. It is 210 kms away from the city Jaipur, 380 kms from Jodhpur and 185 kmd from Bikaner. Churu is the most important town of Rajasthan and it was founded by Jat chief Churu. It has superbly planned Havelis. The Haveli of Mantri in Churu, catches the attention of tourists from all over the world. Churu is prepared of semi scorched grimy plains and watered by Katli river. Churu is head office of the biggest desert district and a part of mural land of Shekhawati. Churu was a branch of the state of Bikaner till India achieved independence.
The city covers an area of 16829 sq. km. The languages spoken by the people are Hindi, English and Rajasthani. Between September to March it is ideal to visit Churu.

Salasar Balaji : Salasar Balaji is a holy place which is devoted to the Lord Hanuman. It is one of the famous pilgrimage destinations in India, where numerous of devotees comes through out the year. Every year Salasar Balaji organized a large fair and in which almost 7 lakhs of people gather to pay their respect to the God. This temple is located in the mid of the Salasar town.
Surana Haveli : Surana Haveli is an excellent six storied building located in Churu. This building has approximately 1100 arty windows and stylish doors.

Tal Chappar : Tal chappar is a lake and residence of numerous exceptional species like black ducks and migratory birds.
