Bundi is around 36 kms away from Kota, which was ruled by the Hada Chauhans. Bundi is enclosed by Aravallis hills on three sides and bounded by a huge wall with four entry ways. Bundi is a small city with idyllic located on the hills of Aravalli. It is about 206 km from ‘Pink City’ Jaipur and 36 km from Kota. Name of this city originated from the chieftain’s name Bunda Meena. This city was ruled by the Chauhans in the 12th century. The city Bundi became a self governing state with the surfacing of the Mughal rule.
Bundi is located in the eastern part of Rajasthan. It covers an area of 5550 sq.km. The language spoken by the local people are Hindi, English and regional local language Rajasthani. If you are going to make your plan towards Bundi, then make your trip in the mid of October to March.

Kajli Teej : Kajli Teej festival is eminent through out the Rajasthan is renowned in the city of Bundi. This fiesta is celebrated in the Hindu month of Bhadra. Various tourists come across the world, during the time of Kajli Teej celebration to see the colours of fiesta.
Bundi Palace : Bundi Palace is a wonderful example of the Rajput architecture and this palace has some of the glorious Bundi wall paintings.
Chhatar Mahal : The Chhatar Mahal is one of the stunning Mahals of Bundi.It is admired by the attractive wall paintings of Bundi School. A vertical cemented decanter way is only the mean to reach the monument. The special eye catching areas of the palace includes, the Hazari Pol.Hazari Pol has its old water clock and the Naubat Khana. An exceptional feature of this Mahal is that all the palaces and monument of Rajasthan explains the Mughal architecture and style but Chhatar Mahal does not.
Kshar bagh : Kshar Bagh is an old and most beautiful garden near Shikar Burj with mesmerizing chatri. This Bagh is a classic facet of the Rajasthani architecture. Kshar Bagh is not open for the public, you must need permission before visiting the garden.
Nawal Sagar : Nawal Sagar is situated close to the Taragarh fort in Bundi. This is an artificial lake, kanput up by isle. There is a temple of lord Varun in the middle of the lake.
Phool Sagar : Phool Sagar has an artificial tank and scenic garden. It is a residence of the former rulers.
Rani Ji Baori : Rani ji Baori is 46 m deep stairs reside with fabulous carving on its pillar and eminent domed gate built by Rani Nathavati in 1699 A.D.
Rattan Daulat : Rattan Daulat is built by Rao Raja Ratan and it is very attractive structure forming a stable nine horses and elephants.
Shikar Burj : Shikar Burj was the preferred hunting location for the rulers of Bundi. Now a days this place is converted into a famous picnic spot.
Sukh Mahal : Sukh Mahal is an attractive summer place situated on the Sukh Sagar lake and enclosed by thriving green gardens.

Ramgarh : Ramgarh is situated around 45 kms away from Bundi and it was one of the richest towns in Bundi.
Bijolia : Bijolia is 50 kms away from Bundi and situated on Bundi Chittorgarh road. A smooth patio on the side of the fort and it has a large temple of Lord Shiva in centre along with the statue of Lord Ganesha at the entrance.
Dugari : Dugari has assortment of antique wall paintings at the Ram temple. This fort is situated 65 kms way from Bundi.
Indragarh Fort : The fort of Indragarh is almost 77 kms from Bundi and it is well known for the temples of Goddess Kali and Kamleshwar.
Jait Sagar Lake : Jait Sagar was built by Jaita Meena and it has a scenic lake framed in the hills. The fountain is an effective enjoyment to eyes at the nighttime.
Rameshwaram : Rameshwaram is a cave temple of Lord Shiva.
Talwas : Talwas fort was established by Raja Ajit Singh and a scenic waterfall is a main attraction, as well as Talwas has temple of Dhooleshwar Mahadev.
